Relations between work roll diameter and work roll crowning rate
When the diameter of the work rolls is taken as the basic value of 01722 m, the minimum value is 01600 m, the average value is 01700 m and the maximum value is 01800 m, the influence of the work roll crown on the width of the strip is shown in Fig. 2. It can be seen that the influence rate of the work roll crown decreases with the increase of the strip width. Under the condition of the strip width, the influence rate of the work roll crown increases with the increase of the work roll diameter. In addition, as the width of the strip increases, the difference between the influence rate of the work roll crown and the basic value increases significantly, up to – 01092 1 mm Π mm, which cannot be ignored. The work roll crowning effect rate is normalized with the strip width curve to obtain the curve shown in Fig. 2 (b), and the four curves in Fig. 2 (a) are completely coincident.
