Practice has proved that improper material selection,backward manufacturing processes,and poor casting quality will directly affect the life of the work rolls.
The working roll of 1200mm hot rolling mill is made of platinum-containing nickel-containing chilled ductile iron.the hardness of the roll surface is as high as that of the quenched layer,so as to meet the requirements of the toughness of the tip,and overcome the high deformation resistance of the alloy sheet,the hot rolled blank and the second fire are produced in the same machine,practice has proved that improper material selection,backward manufacturing processes,and poor casting quality will directly affect the life of the work rolls,such as casting shrinkage and shrinkage,quenching hardness and quenching layer thickness,after many years of exploration and practice,the hot-rolling work rolls of our factory have become more reasonable in terms of material selection and technical requirements for rolls,and basically adapt to the normal production of Qinzhin alloy sheet.However,this aspect still needs further exploration to find a more economical and durable hot-rolling work roll type.
