Copper mould tube is the core component of continuous casting machine, which undertakes the role of molten steel solidification. The quality of mould copper tube not only has a great impact on slab yield and quality, but also has a greater impact on the service life of copper tube itself. During the continuous casting process, the coating on the inner surface of the copper tube of the mould contacts with the high temperature molten steel, which is affected by the chemical corrosion of molten steel, thermal erosion and friction between the molten steel and the shell. The copper tube of the mould is prone to thermal deformation and the scratch of the coating on the surface, which affects the normal operation of the continuous casting machine and reduces the continuous casting. Casting efficiency deteriorates the quality of slab. The service life of copper tube in mould is different because of the different technological parameters of billet and continuous casting machine. It is the only way to improve the working efficiency of continuous caster to improve the service life of copper tube in mould.
