These Rolls & Rings are crafted from an alloy blend of Nickel, Chromium, Manganese, and Molybdenum, featuring a Carbon content ranging between 0.50% and 2.00%. Additionally, a small amount of Vanadium is introduced to enhance microstructural properties. This composition grants them superior mechanical strength alongside remarkable thermal and wear resistance. Following a meticulous multi-stage high-temperature Heat Treatment process (comprising Double Annealing followed by tempering cycles), these Rolls & Rings attain the optimal combination of hardness, toughness, and wear resistance tailored to specific applications. The lower Carbon variants exhibit a structure composed of ferrite and fine Pearlite, gradually transitioning, with increasing Carbon content, to a fully Pearlitic Structure, and ultimately to one featuring free carbide within a matrix of fine Pearlite, and in some cases, Bainite, in the highest Carbon grades. All rolls made from this material are cast statically in a tangential, single-pour fashion.
