The high Cr cast iron rolls are applied to work rolls for roughing/finishing stands of 4 -high medium, wide plate mill, work rolls for roughing/finishing stands of 4-high hot wide strip mill, work rolls/back-up rolls for tempering stands of 4- high cold and hot strip mill. The high Cr rolls are produced by centrifugal casting of three layers. The outer layer consists of high Cr white iron, the intermediate layer and core consist of SG. The material of outer layer has excellent wear resistance and good anti-fire and anti-spalling, resistance to banding defect and red hardness.
