Castables for iron trough are designed by targeting at the different part and the service condition of the iron runner of large and medium blast furnace. The products are formed by employing the principle of castable of low and ultra low cement and by using different types of corundum and carborundum as main material, and by applying multiple types of micropowder, additive, and binding agent. The product has such advantages as small amount of water during construction, high liquidity, high strength, resistance to erosion, washing and oxidation and high stability. It is applicable to large and medium-sized blast furnace with two tapping channels. The tapping quantity at one time can be roughly 200,000 tons.
