Equipment design and manufacturing
Use high-strength materials: The booster arm needs to bear the weight of steel materials and various stresses during the handling process.During design and manufacturing, high-strength, wear-resistant metal materials, such as high-quality alloy steel, should be selected to ensure the stability and durability of the booster arm structure. This can prevent safety accidents such as heavy objects falling due to structural damage during the handling of heavy objects.
Reasonable mechanical structure design: Optimize the design of mechanical parts such as joint connection and telescopic structure of the power arm. For example, ensure that the joint has sufficient rotation range and stability to prevent accidental swing or jamming during operation. At the same time, consider the load distribution of the power arm to avoid local overload and safety risks.
Integrated safety devices: Various safety devices are directly integrated during the design phase of the power arm. For example, a limit switch is installed. When the power arm is extended or rotated to the limit position, the limit switch can be triggered in time to stop the action of the power arm to prevent it from exceeding the safety range and colliding with surrounding equipment or personnel.
An overload protection device can also be equipped. Once the load on the power arm exceeds its rated value, the device will start immediately to prevent the power arm from being damaged due to overload.
Installation and commissioning phase
Professional installation team: Ensure that the power arm is installed by professionally trained personnel. These personnel are familiar with the structure and installation requirements of the power arm and can operate according to the specifications provided by the manufacturer. During the installation process, strictly check whether each connection part is firm and whether the electrical circuit is correctly connected to prevent safety hazards caused by improper installation.
Strict debugging process: After installation, comprehensive debugging is required. During the debugging process, it is necessary to check whether the various functions of the power arm are normal, including the accuracy of the action, whether the speed control is effective, whether the safety device can be triggered normally, etc. For example, by simulating various load conditions and action modes, the power arm is subjected to load and function tests to ensure that it can operate stably and safely before being put into use.
Personnel training and operating specifications
Professional operation training: Professional training for staff using the power-assist arm is the key to ensuring safety. The training content should include the basic working principle, operation method, safety precautions, etc. The operator needs to be familiar with how to correctly start and stop the power-assist arm, how to control its movement speed and direction, and how to take correct response measures in an emergency.
Develop an operation manual: The company should develop a detailed manual for the operation of the power arm, clearly specifying the operating procedures and safety requirements in different work scenarios. For example, when moving large steel plates, the manual should specify the appropriate grabbing method, transportation route, placement and other details, and the operator must strictly follow the manual.
Safety monitoring and maintenance
Real-time safety monitoring system: Install a safety monitoring system to monitor the working status of the booster arm in real time.
The monitoring system can include sensors to monitor the load, speed, position, temperature and other parameters of the booster arm. Once these parameters exceed the safety range, the system can immediately issue an alarm to remind the operator to take measures. At the same time, the monitoring data can be stored and uploaded to the company’s management system for subsequent analysis and fault diagnosis.
Regular maintenance and inspection: formulate a strict regular maintenance plan and conduct comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the power arm. The maintenance content includes lubrication of mechanical parts, wear inspection, inspection and repair of electrical systems, etc. For example, regularly check whether the hydraulic system of the power arm is leaking and whether the motor is running normally. If any problems are found, deal with them in time to ensure that the power arm is always in good working condition.
Fault emergency response plan: Establish a comprehensive fault emergency response plan to clearly define the emergency measures to be taken when the power arm fails. For example, when the power arm is out of control, the operator should know how to stop the power arm through the emergency brake device, and at the same time, know how to evacuate the surrounding personnel to prevent the accident from escalating.
