Crushing and Breaking

Crushing equipment consumes high power, wears out quickly, and requires frequent maintenance, making it costly. Effective crushing stabilizes product quality, saves energy, and reduces consumption.


Ingredient Weighing

Ingredients combine different raw materials and particles according to the product formula. The ingredient method varies based on the raw material type and state. In magnesia carbon brick production, the weight batching method, known for its accuracy (generally within 2%), is commonly used. Equipment includes manual weighing scales, automatic weighing scales, and weighing carts, selected based on requirements and automation levels.


Mud Preparation (Mixing and Kneading)

Mixing ensures uniform material composition and maximizes contact between different materials. In refractory material mixing, extrusion, kneading, and exhaust processes homogenize the materials. The process is complex due to varying compositions, particle sizes, binders, and admixtures.


Forming

Forming shapes refractory products and provides them with strength. Semi-dry compression molding is often used, requiring less stringent mud conditions and simpler processes. During pressurization, low moisture content necessitates high pressure to tightly combine particles. This rearranges particles, expels gas, and strengthens the green body. External pressure is crucial, directly affecting the magnesia carbon brick’s performance. Increased pressure enhances density, reduces porosity, and boosts strength.


Heat Treatment (Drying)

Heat treatment temperature directly influences magnesia carbon brick performance. This process cures the phenolic resin, with temperature and time determining complete curing. Within a range, curing time inversely correlates with temperature but not linearly.
