How to maintain the transmission system of hot delivery roller

Daily inspection

Appearance inspection

Before and after the equipment is put into operation every day, perform a visual inspection on each component of the transmission system. Check whether there is dust, oil, corrosion, etc. on the surface of the motor, reducer, coupling, etc. For example, if too much dust accumulates on the surface of the motor, it will affect the heat dissipation performance of the motor and may cause the motor to overheat.

Check whether the connecting bolts of the coupling are loose, as loose bolts may cause vibration and reduced transmission efficiency. At the same time, observe whether the elastic elements of the coupling show signs of wear or aging, such as cracks in the rubber elastic elements.

Temperature Check

Use tools such as infrared thermometers to check the temperature of the motor and reducer.

Under normal circumstances, the temperature of the motor should be within its rated temperature range, and the winding temperature of the general motor should not exceed 80℃ (when the ambient temperature is 40℃). The oil temperature of the reducer should also be within the specified range. For example, the oil temperature of ordinary industrial reducers usually does not exceed 80-90℃. If the temperature is too high, it may indicate problems such as motor overload and poor lubrication of the reducer.

Sound Check

Judge whether the transmission system is normal by listening to the sound.
During normal operation, the motor should make a steady humming sound and the reducer should make a slight running sound.
If you hear harsh friction, collision or irregular vibration, it may be due to bearing damage, gear wear or foreign matter entering the transmission system.

Regular lubrication

Motor lubrication

Lubricate the motor bearings regularly according to the motor type and the instructions. For small motors, lubrication is generally performed every 3-6 months; for large motors, more frequent lubrication may be required. The selection of grease should meet the working conditions of the motor, such as high temperature resistance, wear resistance and other performance requirements.

Reducer lubrication

Reducers usually need to change lubricating oil regularly.
Reducers of different models and specifications have different oil change cycles. Generally, the first oil change is performed after 2000-3000 hours of operation, and then the oil is changed every 1-2 years according to the oil quality.

When changing the oil, pay attention to cleaning the inside of the reducer and removing impurities such as oil stains and metal chips. At the same time, ensure that the type and amount of lubricating oil added meet the requirements. Insufficient lubricating oil will lead to poor lubrication, and excessive oil may cause excessive oil temperature.

Component tightening and adjustment

Bolt tightening

Regularly check and tighten the connecting bolts of the transmission system.
The anchor bolts of the motor and reducer, the connecting bolts of the coupling, etc. need to be checked. Generally, a comprehensive inspection and tightening should be carried out every 1-2 months to prevent the loose bolts from causing vibration and displacement of the equipment.

Gap adjustment

The gear clearance in the reducer needs to be checked and adjusted regularly. As the equipment runs, the gears may wear, causing the clearance to increase. Excessive gear clearance will affect transmission accuracy and efficiency, and may also cause vibration and noise. Generally, the gear clearance should be checked once a year, and the gears should be adjusted or replaced according to the wear condition.

Repair and replacement of faulty parts

Motor repair and replacement

If the motor fails, such as electrical faults such as winding short circuit, open circuit, or mechanical faults such as bearing damage, it should be repaired or replaced in time.

For small motors, simple faults can be repaired on site, such as replacing bearings, repairing wiring, etc.; for large motors or complex faults, the motor may need to be returned to the factory for repair.

Reducer repair and replacement

When the gears, shafts and other main parts of the reducer are severely worn or damaged, they need to be repaired or replaced. For some general models of reducers, the damaged parts such as gears and oil seals can be replaced; for special models or reducers that cannot be repaired, the entire part may need to be replaced.

System cleaning and protection

Cleaning work

Clean the transmission system regularly to remove dust, oil and other impurities on the surface. You can use clean rags, brushes and other tools for cleaning. For hard-to-clean areas, you can use compressed air to blow. At the same time, during the cleaning process, be careful to prevent water or other liquids from entering the electrical and mechanical components such as motors and reducers.

Protective measures

When the equipment is not in use, protective measures should be taken for the transmission system. For example, for motors that have been out of service for a long time, plastic film can be used to wrap them to prevent dust and moisture from entering. For reducers, protective plugs can be installed at the refueling port and vent holes to prevent impurities from entering.
